Final Testing and Intro to Illustrator
Today in class was the final day where students presented and tested the efficacy of their final
prototypes. Using a ruler and a decibel meter, we tested the initial output of the chosen song and phone, and then tested again while using the speaker. We also received valuable feedback from Mr. Neale. Luckily, most speakers demonstrated some degree of amplification! It was interesting to see such a wide variety of materials, designs, and ideas employed to create a product with the same basic purpose.
Later, we were introduced to the concept of our upcoming project: designing family crests (家紋) on Adobe Illustrator. We received a brief introduction and some instruction on how to use it and begin our designs. Next class we will go into more depth!
